Double Whammy For My Brother And Me Posted: 06-19-04 14:22pm
Double whammy for my brother and me, he
has both lung cancer and emphysema (6-12
months according to his doctor and he
doesn't have enough capacity left to
survive the operation, so they won't
operate and he dies) and now his house (a
mobile home and land) is up for sale (for
$50,000.00) and hopefully i'll be able to
move by july 5th 2004, if it sells the
mortgage will get paid off and his family
intends to pay off his credit cards and
his pickup truck too, nothing like having
to live on $790.00 per month from
ssi(that's what I get, i'm disabled).

I read what has happened to your brother,
however I see nothing about your "double
whammy"? I am very sorry to hear about
your brother however, that has to be
awful...We just had a fireman complain of
pains in his stomach, and he was given 6
months, he left behind an 18 month old
baby girl and his wife, he didnt make it 3
weeks...So, as they say, hope for the best
but be prepared for the worse.

Well it was a double whammy for my
brother. I'm surviving, repairs(car,
house, tv) that are needed will get done
slowly and car insurance will be saved for
over 3 months before it expires. But
that's life when one has a small income
and is physically and mentally disabled.
(arthritis, stiffness in both ankles cause
of no rehab 2 years ago when I broke my
lower left leg, concentration, anxiety,
depression, weight, lower back problems)
and this may not be a complete list either
as it's hard to remember all of the
problems that I have.

So you're the survivor that has to take
care of all the things that you listed
taking care of??? I see...Yeah, I have a
lot of the same problems that you
mentioned...However, i'm not mentally
disabled...Sorry, to hear about your
troubles, it must be very hard for you to
deal with all of that and to deal with
losing your brother at the same time...
