Q: Bumps On Penis

Hi, I am 17 and have of course had the sex education talks at school. Some of the diseases were truly gross. When they went through the only one they talked of which sounds like this is the genital warts one - but they showed a picture and they looked much much worse than this. Never the less what I have I don't like and want to get rid of!

I have had them for as long as I can remember really, they almost look like spots but will not burst when pressure is applied. There is a picture which you can see on the next link of a small segment of skin on the penis. It is not horribly graphic.

thanks, and I hope you can help as I really dislike them, the ones photoed are the larger there are many smaller ones all around.

Thankyou very much in advance, I realise I should see a doctor but I would like to get some opinions first, on whether the doctor will be able to actually do anything.

Well, you have had the sex "talks" but have you ever had intercourse? Or direct sexual contact? If not, then obviously it is not genital warts.

It could be a lot of different things. I couldn't get the link to work so I didn't see the picture. But, you should go to the doctor. Since you are under 18 you can go to a clinic for free and your parents would not have to know. It may be embarassing, but it will help I am sure.

It takes you to the link now, but it is password protected.
Anywho, you are welcome. There is actually a certain bacterial infection that men or women can get. You can even get it if it is in your bath water. I actually had it once. It was very strange. It gives you little bumps that almost look like pimples, but they don't pop. Weird. I got them burned off. They say that if you get the "first" one burned off then that resolves the root of the problem and they will not ever come back. I got like three burned off about 11 years ago and they never came back.
So, it could be something very simple like that, but it would be best to go to the doctor.

Thankyou very much haf, I guess that could be what they are then, do you just go to a doctor and explain or some special clinic.

Appreciate you taking the time to answer,
regards,
mm.

Ummm, you can go to your regular doctor and explain, or you could go into a clinic. Both would work. If your regular doctor does not know what it is then he/she could send you to a specialist or send you for tests. Either way, it would work out. Good luck.
