Q: Ovarian Cyst

I am new to this website and I am hoping someone out there has gone through this or is going through this. I found out I have an ovarian cyst that is pretty large and will most likely have to be removed through laproscopic surgery. Has anyone ever had laproscopic surgery for an ovarian cyst? Does anyone know what the outcome is? I want to know how long after the procedure I will have to wait to ttc? Thanks!

Hi im sorry youre having a spot of bother, I had a large ovarian cyst last december which bled and was very painful so I know how you are feeling luckily mine was treated with antibiotics and although it is still there it has shrunk and gives me no trouble and the hospital scan it regularly and they hope it will just disappear eventually. My niece however did have a cyst removed via laparoscopy two years ago and she was only kept in hospital overnight and it took her 6 weeks to feel fully well again, I have spoken to other people who have said the same, they werent in any pain it just took 5 or 6 weeks to stop feeling tired and getting fully fit again. I hope this helps you and I wish you well with your recovery im sure you will be fine
