Q: Molly's Nephew Passed Away

I talked to molly today and she asked me to post this for you all. She will be gone for a little bit because her 18 month old nephew passed away on the 15th. He passed away from hemolytic uremic syndrome, post diarrheal . Not sure what it is. This is what she sent me, though it makes not a lot of sense: clinical description: hemolytic uremic syndrome (hus) is characterized by the acute onset of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, renal injury, and low platelet count. Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (ttp) is also characterized by these features but also can include central nervous system involvement and fever, and may have a more gradual onset. Most cases of hus (but few cases of ttp) occur after an acute gastrointestinal illness (usually diarrheal). Only hus or ttp occurring after an acute diarrheal illness is reportable

anyway, my prayers are with molly....This is so sad! A poor little boy!
Rest in peace eben matthew stephen ohime, january 4,2003-june 15,2004.

It just doesnt make sense. A week ago he was at the y, swimming at a pool for the first time in the usa. They live in romania, and I guess I can just be glad that he was here. I got to be with him when they lived here the first 3 months of life, and the last 3 weeks.. Sad

why not me god?

His parents are missionaries doing good things for ppl around the world. The devil jus dosent want that I guess. Sad

oh lord, please give me an understanding. I have always believed everything happens for a reason, but this just doesnt make n e sense.

Why him of all ppl?

Love molly Sad

Hey
Molly,
you will never understand why a child had to be taken..... It's a horrible thing and it's something there cannot be an explination for. But for some reason, mol, he was needed in heaven. I think it's such a tradegy that he lived such a short life..... My prayers are with your family and his parents.... It's such a sad thing to lose someone and a child at that!

Hey molly, it's me, megan. I am the one with colon cancer. When my cancer came back this past may and the docs told me they don't know how long I had to live, we had a lot of people come over and show their support. But ther was one person who sat down with my mom and told her this:

god has only given our children to us on loan. He allows us to care for and love them, but when .He thinks it is time for them to come home, .He will bring take them back. But you always know that they are with .Him and .He loves them.

Don't ever forget that. And my prayers are with you and your family.

Love always,

megan hataway (that's my new last name! As of june 12th 2004!!!!)
