Hello I wouldn't worry much i'm a ob nurse and have never heard of
that happening i'm pretty sure sperm dies as soon as it's ejaculated
if it's not inside it cannot survive on the outside it dies immediately

Jenih62557 sorry but I would beg to differ to your post - sperm doesn't die "immediately" (think sperm banks, donors etc)
certainly this would not be the easiest way to get pregnant, but to be 100% sure never let the penis or hands that have handled the penis enter the vagina as this will offer the opportunity to introduce sperm(and disease).
It may be worth taking a test to be sure if you are concerned especially if your period is unusually late

Jenih62557 - this may sound picky but the vagina is not a dry dark place.
If a man ejaculates and gets it over his hand and then proceeeds to manually stimulate his partner there is a risk of pregnancy and all the sperm does not die immediately. Same if he ejaculates and doesn't clean up properly and then after a little while proceeds to have sex there is the risk of pregnancy.
You claim to be an ob nurse but remember this is the internet, unless you can prove this and are willing to take the consequences of your claims - you should always err on the side of caution.
See there are enough medical books out there that I could easily pass myself off as a qualified gyno/ob on the internet but I am not and would not - it would be far too dangerous to any people to may read and take to heart my misinformation.
You may well be genuine but please, please err on the side of caution.
If you have seen the patient and are sure of their circumstance that is one thing, but you do not know the full story behind the posters query here.

Sperm does not die immediately! If you were really in ob then you would know that! Sperm does not die until it is completely dried out! And it can live inside of a vagina for 5-7 days.
It is very highly unlikely, but yes, it can happen, so be careful.
And, please people, if your information is not correct please don't give advice! And if you are wrong, okay, that happens, but admit when you are wrong, don't argue it when you are wrong!

Lol. Simple they would know. You cannot just snap your fingers and become a nurse! There is lots of schooling, studying and then you have to pass your boards. And if you decide to go into a speciality like obgyn, there is going to be more training and if you worked in that field for four years, you best know that sperm doesn't die when it its the air! Lmao!

Yeah I would have to say that no nurse has heard of this happening because who would admit to getting pregnant that way! I know I wouldn't. Plus you can't ever say never in this kind of a situation because once you do something will prove you wrong.
