Hi,

my mother fell on her head during gym class when she was at the age of 16, she suffered neck injury from that. Since then he has very very bad migraine attacks at least once a month. It's usually related to the menstrual cycle. It's so bad she just lays on the bed and can't do anything. It's so bad she vomits because of the pain. The only thing that helps is cafergot. It helps cooling down the migraine, but this stuff is really really bad. The next day after taking it, her hands, face and feet are swollen. She tried diffrent medicine, but this is the only stuff that is strong enough to temper the migraine.

All this makes me worry. The damage that the migraine and the cafergot does to her. My mother is at the age of 47 now, so the risk of heart attacks and stuff like that is something to keep in mind. Is there any alternative to this medicine that works? Is there any treatment possible for migraine this bad?

Thanks in advance,

You might call the herb shop but I would think seriously about going and discussing this with her physician, could she be menopausal? Even if she is she should talk with her physician, it would seem to me that her body is trying to tell her that their is something wrong! The swelling in the use of this is not good! She should not take more than two of these a week!

Sincerely,
sandy

Migraines
Migraine is a condition in which there is a one-sided headache associated with nausea, vomiting visual disturbance before the onset of headache etc. It could be aggravated by various factors , mental and physical and on exposure to certain substances.
Homeopathic medicine has very good remedies to alleviate the pain during the episodes and also see that over a period of time there is no recurrence. Remedies like kali bich, sang can, spigelia, iris vers are good for the same purpose.

I am sure homeopathic medicine would relieve your mother of those headaches.
