Hello everyone, i'm new to the boards, but I have a quick question for anyone that is willing to help me out.
I went to my gyn doctor last wednesday, and my blood pressure was alittle high (124/94), she seemed to be concerned that it was the pills (orthro tri lo) i've been on birth control pills for 3 1/5years and never had any problems beside gaining 45lbs. I was alittle concerned with my weight and thats when I went from orthro high to lo. So, this month my doctor advised me to stay off the birth control to see if its from the pills, or if I need to get on high blood pressure pills. I have to take my blood pressure every so often to see if it was the pills, and yes my blood pressure has came down to 117/68, which is very good. So I really believe it is the pills making it higher. When I go back, I have to decide from the nuva ring or yasmin. Which do you think is better? I know that you hear good and bad things about both, but I did gain alot of weight with orthro and I don't know if I need to see how my body reacts with yasmin, and maybe ill lose a lot of my water weight. I go the gym everyday and nothing helps... Mad and the nuva ring, i've heard good things about it and then again some bad. My friends say that its barely noticeable, but when I read online about it, some people say that its very uncomfortable. So I don't know what to do????? If you could please help me out and give me some of your advice that would be appreciated. Thanks, heather

Yasmin
I've been on yasmin for several months now and the only negative side effect I have noticed is that for a few days each month I break out. But its not usually very bad. I haven't noticed any weight loss but I think my boobs grew a half size. Not much but when you don't have much to start with you'll take anything Smile

Thanks for you input, and hopefully I don't get any bigger in that area. Wink but i'am leaning more towards yasmin because I have been a pill every day and used to that.
