Dear everyone.
My girlfriend and I want to have a baby. We have been charting her temps and we know that roughly her ovulation period is 10 days after her period. She has been getting pain in the left side so is that the left ovary releasing an egg. We dont care what we have if its a boy or a girl. We are a lesbian couple and we want to do it right the first time. I just wanted to know how it goes.

1) how long does boy sperm last

2) how long does girl sperm last

3) how long does sperm last out side the body.

4) once ovulation has begun how long have we got to get pregnant.

Much appreaciated if my questions could be answered.

Re: Wanting to Get Pregnant With Girlfriend. Need Some Answe
1) how long does boy sperm last
sperm in general an average of 5 days inside the body. Boy sperm swims faster and dies first, so like 2-3 days.

2) how long does girl sperm last
5 days.

3) how long does sperm last out side the body.
You mean open to the air? A couple of hours? Or closed up, same as in body. Sperm is stored refrigerated, so temp doesn't have that much to do with it, I wouldn't think. Or 15 years if frozen. But conception has occured with 18-20 year old sperm, but not likely.

4) once ovulation has begun how long have we got to get pregnant.
Average of 12 hours, maximum of 24 hours.

Just Wanted to Add...
While sperm can last up to 5 days in fertile quality cervical fluid, it's not a definite.

Yeah you're right. 5 days is best case scenario.
