Where Can I Find a Free Clinic?
Posted: 06-12-04 07:40am

Hi, i've been needing to go to a gyno for months now (i think I have vaginitis) but I have no insurance and no money.

I'm really worried that i'm making more problems by not going to see a doctor, but if I do have something wrong with me, how will I pay for it? Plus, I hope to have a job by the end of the summer. If I go to a doctor right now, won't it be a "pre exsisting condition"? Do insurance companies cover those?

I was hoping someone could recommend a free clinic in northern nj. I've looked online and haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know if you have a planned parenthood nearby, but you should. Planned parenthood has a sliding scale when it comes to their rates. You don't need to have insurance and they charge you based on what type of income you have. If you don't have a job, they will charge you the smallest amount possible. You can always call and see about how much it woudl be in your situation before going in. They take walk-ins and are very thorough. I urge you to go, your health is depending on it. You say you are looking for one in northern nj. You can go to plannedparenthood.Org and look under locations. To me it looks like they have quite a lot:

        directions to the englewood center
