Linuxchique: because I use linux instead of windows as my operating system on my computer. I'm a computer nerd! There is a whole cult culture built around linux. And only about 1 percent of linux users are female, so that makes me unique!

Well I chose my name because sparkly (i like sparkly things-im a looser I know!) pixie was my cats name :d and 12 is for my birthday 12th of may :d my name is dumb! :d

My aunt used to call me babyrae (cuz my middle names rae and im the "baby" in the family) until she passed away so I always use this as my screennames and e-mail lol!

It does exactly the same thing that windows does. It has a file browser like explorer, a net browser like internet explorer, and all of its own programs. But it is much better than windows. Linux doesn't crash like windows does. And you can leave it running forever without it getting slow. You don't have to restart after you install or uninstall a program. Linux and _all_ of its software is completely free. But don't let that make you think it isn't good software. In my opinion, many of the programs for linux are better than the windows versions.
