My boyfriend has a cyst ...Thats what the doctor said although they are goin to do an mri....On his mid back to the right of his spine. He has had this for quite a while but now its is causing him alot of pain(burning, stabbing feeling). Has anyone ever experienced this or heard of this and does anyone know if there is any kind of home remedy besides surgery or draining it? It is the size of half a softball I can palm it in my hand. Any help would be greatly appreciated I am worried about him.

could it be boils? Or cysts?

It's sebaceous cyst. It grows as you get older I had one too its on my chest a size of a quarter(cdn). I had it for a 9 yrs now & growing. It's get annoying coz it can be itchy, sometimes it hurts( it feels like someone is poking or stabbing u)
for treatment, its different for some people i've tried steroid shot( control the growth),
-castor oil --
all these treatment didn't work for me so I have to get a surgery..

Draining the cyst doesn't work coz the sac is still there & sometimes in years the cyst comes back.

Hope that helps!!!

However castor oil, help stop the itch of cyst.

My Acne Cream Worked
My husband also had quite a large bump on his back or two weeks or so, but he would not let me touch it, but it kept growing and becoming more painful and inflammated, finally I trying my acne cream on him. I worked great on my acne and cysts on my face. It worked great for him too. I just applied some cream and put a bandage on top, since he did not want to wait for cream to penetrate. In a day or some cream helpted to bring the cyst closer to the skin surface and then into days it dried it up. I guess sulfur in the cream was doing it.
His cyst was the size of a dime, but may be we just stopped it on time.

Good luck. Smile
