Q: Help/ Really Scared/hiv

About a month ago I had protected sex (male condom-oral and vaginal) with an unknown outside of my relationship. To make matters worse, I don't want to spread anything to my partner if I contracted something. I realize I am at risk, but I need some help. I took a pcr hiv test at 17days and came came up clear. I'm doing it again next week at the recommended 28 day mark. Is it too early to go for a elisa antibody test? What should I do.

Sincerely,

overwhelmed with guilt and fear. Crying or Very sad

Your guilt is consuming you. You have been as safe as you possibly can but maybe not as honest. I would be patient.

It could be too early...But what is more important is you tell your partner! This would just augment your guilt...

Similar Situation
It's odd that I came across this subject. I too have been with an unkown, outside of my relationship. I did it once and my guilt has overwhelmed me to no end. I am sure everything will be fine as far as stds, hiv/aids, but only time will tell, in the meantime, be patient. Guilt and fear. That will get you everytime, I hate it and hopefully I get over it soon. [probably not]. Good luck! Wink
