All I can say is that whenever someone starts a new kind of birth control, chances are good that some kind of strange bleeding will occur in the first month or two. Usually, it woudl clear up after then. As for the thick part, I really can't help you there. sorry.

Hey I started the pill and mine is the same way I bled from the 21st to the 2 and I started again yesterday and mine is the exact same way im going to the docs on monday and im going to ask her about it then!!! Ill let u kno what she says ok??!!

Starting any type of new birth control, you will have some form of spotting and/or bleeding. It should subside in a month or two. Your spotting should be gone by then and you should only bleed on your patch free week. As far as your period coming when you will be on your honeymoon you can talk to your doctor and they can have you take your patch for a month straight through without a break/bleed week. Instead of having the patch-free week, you will just continue onto your next patch. With doing this, you will not have your bleed (period) week. Because you are not ovulating when you are on birth control, it is not critical that you have a period. The new birth control seasonale is just simply that. It is a few months of straight birth control without a break and then every few months you take a week break, where you then have your bleed week. Again it would be best to go the doctor and they will explain exactly how to do this, only if your wedding/honeymoon happens to be on your patch-free week. Hope this provided some insight. Good luck!
