I was just curious how many of u preg girls are getting braxton hicks contractions or how many did if u already had your babies? I get them daily but not to where I need to worry yet or anything because their normally spaced far apart and aren’t following any patterns as of yet. I thought I was getting them at even 20 weeks but my doctor told me that it was from something else because braxton hicks wouldn’t occur yet? They ended up saying it was from my bladder infection. I don’t know but im sure that’s what they are now (im almost 34 weeks) but it tightens and my stomach gets really hard for like 30 seconds or so but normally not more then that. Think so right? But anyhow im just wondering who else is getting them!

I get them ever so often! Man oh man they are crazy are they not???
Well, I dont get them so regular. I get maybe 1-2 a day sometimes none. Is that normal too? Does that mean my body is not prepaing for hayley? Or does it mean she will be 2 weeks late? The braxton hicks just prepare us for labor right, so what if we dont get them?
Lots of love,
heather and hayley

Hey when I was pregnant I had braxton hicks all the time like all day long sometimes close sometimes far apart but usually like 24/7 I would get them and it was like that for a month or two and it was nothing.. Keep in mind that these were just painless contractions I could feel my stomach always tightening but I felt no pain.

I was readin that an inflamed bladder from an infection can bring on contractions, thats probably what you had before, but it is possible to start gettin braxton hicks any time after the 20th week... Ive been gettin them for awhile... Once in a great while I will have a somewhat painful one but when I switch positions it stops... Otherwise they are just uncomfortable, I can feel it tightening, and it feels really uncomfortable if im standing/walking... I worry alot too... I was gettin them before my 20th week so im worried it might be a sign of possible premature labor down the road... But my doctor just said that if they get regular then I should worry, other than that its just fine cuz my body is just preparing itself for the real deal.
