Q: Finger/chest Pains

I am a 26 year old female who has been experiencing pain in my fingers and all the way up to my forearm and up to my shoulder. This pain has entered my body many months before, but usually goes away in a couple of weeks. The only difference this time is that I am also experiencing a tightness on my left chest area-over my heart. I was wondering what all of this pain is from and how I can combat the pain. It seems as is aspirin does not help at all.

Thanks

Does the pain/tightness become worse when you take a deep breath?

Do the fingers on both hands ache?

Do you feel like you have a fiver?

Have you made any medical investigations till now?

It's not a good idea to take aspirin without first consulting your doctor. It thins your blood and this isn't the best thing for some people. Sometimes just getting rid of the pain is not a good idea: pain can be a good thing because it tells us something is wrong, and sometimes what is wrong.

You should see the doctor NOW and get an EKG and see what he says is the best treatment for you, since you may be at high risk for a heart attack with these conditions. It is best to rule out that possibility first because it is life threatening...and then if it is not that (which we all hope it is not) we can look at your conditions again and try to fix you up from there.
