K as some of u know already. Sadly there is a small chance that my babys father could be 1 of 2. I know, not too good. But im pretty damn sure its ryans otherwise I would be about a month further (so about 37 or 37.5 weeks instead of 33.5) and I had my period after the other guy.. But still u never know. Anyhow.. Im curious.. If ryan (who im sures the dad) gets a paternity test, and it did turn out not to be his.. Would I be responsible to pay for it then? Thanks!

If you are requesting the test I think that you have to pay for it, but if he requests it he has to.

Wow, didnt think it was that much. I think the parents should split the price, but I guess theres always someone who doesnt want to know or doesnt want to pay and you cant exactly make them...

There was this other place I cant remember but ive seen it in the paper, costs about 200-250. And chances are its not the one where you had a period after. But your estamation how you said youd be further along, could be wrong. I was 2 weeks off with mine and I was so sure we conceived at a certain time. So I dont know. But the way the test could be demanded is in court and he has to take it. Like if you want child support. And then I think he pays for it.

Hey
I know in louisiana it works like this:
dad denies kid and kid is his, father foots the bill.
Dad thinks it's his and it's not, mom foots the bill
mom lies and says it's his and it's not, she pays.
Ya see how it works. Dunno why it's like that here.

Kari, take him to court to appoint paternity if you are pretty sure he is the father. They will give him a test and if he is the father, then he has to pay for it. If not, you pay for it. But either way you only have to pay for one max bcuz it's gotta be one or the other right? Lol.......But yeah thats how it works here....And when paternity is appointed, then child supoort begins! Lol........

I thought the hospital would put it on your insurance (usually if you aren't married they ask the guy if he wants one I think) or it would be free there or something.

Nikki- see, if it was the other guy tho, I would know the exact day I concieved which would be oct.3rd because I was only with him once* so its like 27 or 28 days difference so thats a month*

but see, hes the one requesting the test. Im thinkin he will have to pay. But im pretty sure its his anyhow. But my doctor told me their like $500-700 here? Ah I wouldnt wanna pay if I was wrong! But im thinkin im right.. I hope! The doctor said so far everything points out to it bein ryans. But theres still always that chance..
