Epilepsy And Pregnancy Issues
Posted: 06-07-04 09:56am

I had a right frontal temporal lobe craniotomy 3 months ago. It has so far rid of my seizures, yet the kicker is that I want to get pregnant again. My doctors cannot say whether my seizures will come back or not. Has anyone had a baby after brain surgery or dealt with hormones triggering seizures in pregnancy? My 1st pregnancy brought on major seizures. Supposedly, the damaged part of my brian is now gone. Any similar situations? (far fetched, I know:)

Three months is awfully soon. I would think that your body needs more time to heal.

3 months does does seem quick, yet I have been running around like normal since the 2 month mark. The doctors told me 4-6 months, yet I don't think they would hold me back now that they have seen my comeback.

I was feeling great after my surgery too. About 3 months later, I started having seizures again.

Take it easy.

Sorry to hear that everything came back so soon. Were you given any explanation? What kind of surgery did you have? I would love to hear about your story. As you know in life, waiting does not always agree with life's timeline. What to do???? I get my license back this week-a good start!
