Q: Carpal Tunnel

I am waiting for surgery for carpal tunnel and over the weekend 2 bruises have appeared on my elbow. The are not sore but are very noticeable. Is that normal? I am still working as a hairdresser until surgery and I have been in a lot of pain from my wrists and all the way up my arm into my neck.
