My daughter had two ticks in her scalp. We did see her doctor and was told that they were wood ticks.

My question is it is now more than a week later and there seems to be a 'scab'. Where I would think it would be a red scab, it is white and I find this odd. In attempting to get it out of her hair, some of it broke off making it look like dandruff.
I am just trying to determine if this is normal.
