Q: Swollen Gland In Front of Ear

About a week ago, I noticed a painful lump in front of my ear. After some investigation, I noticed what appeared to be a pimple inside my ear next to my cheek which was also very painful. After 2 days, I went to see my pcp who said the blind pimple was causing the lump and to leave it alone. It would go away in 7-10 days.

It has now been a week. The pimple inside my ear is gone, however, the lump in front of my ear is still there, although it does not hurt anymore when I touch it.

I'm starting to panic thinking this is a cancerous tumor. Anyone ever had anything like this before, and if so, how long did it take to go away?
