It doesnt hurt..If ur pregnant they give u one also. I had my first one when I found out I was preg I was scared but it didnt hurt at all. They just test to see if everything is ok with ur body..Around here they have to do one by 16 I think it was.

Hey hun! A pap smear is wear they will check ur cervix and for infections and other thing like stds. If you are having sex then you need to get one right away.I had my first oine when I was like 14 even though I wasnt having sex! It is really important to get one!No, I never had one to hurt they are just a little uncomfortable!

No.. Dont convienetly forget to go. Their very important. Even if ur not having sex, they can check u for things like cervical cancer. U should go yrly at least. Could u be pregnant? Have u had sex? If either of those r true, u should definitly recieve one. Their not painful, just like said, a little uncomfortable. Nothing to be scared of tho and their very short.

Hey I got a pap-smear b4. I was so scared!! I went with my friend at the time sonja we both got one. It hurts alittle. I had this brown docter do it and he had to touch my boobs to make sure I dont got breast cancer. It was gross he is like wow you got some big boobs for a 16 y/o. Ewww!!! I need to get another one soon. You are suppose to get one when you first start having sex.

It doesn't hurt, it actually kinda feels like someone blowing up a balloon very slowly, I know it sounds weird, but you just feel like your expanding, they are very important so make sure to go!

Ok, i'm sorry if I scare any people who have never had one but ugh! I thought it hurt. Of course i'm very dry down there (i'm pregnant and think that makes no sense...) and i'm allergic to all lubes so she had to stick it in dry... But I thought the scraping or whatever kinda hurt. Maybe my brain was exaggerating it in my head... I hated it though. Not that people like it...

I also never had one... I think in holland they don't think it's that important. I know older women get one every 5 years to check for cancer

The first one I had hurt bad but the second one that I just had about a week ago at my drs appointment didn't hurt at all. I didn't even know they had done it until she said so!
