I am not a guy, so I cannot say exactly how the penis should look. I am sure it varies from guy to guy. If you have never had unprotected sex, than you are virtually clear for std's. This is assuming also, if you have had oral sex, that is was protected as well. Your penis probably gets redder from the actual sex encounter. There is a lot of friction going on during sex. Extra lubrication (making sure it is condom compatible) may help if the redness is caused by a lack of lubrication with your partner.

What do u mean protection during oral sex?

It is possible to get certain std's from oral sex. I hate to be graphic, but hpv (genital warts) for example. If someone is infected with this virus and you give them oral sex, you could then contract the virus in your throat causing warts that would have to be removed. Also, if someone has hiv/aids and you have any type of cut or opening in your mouth that could introduce any of the vaginal/seminal fluids, then you could contract the disease. There are oral sex protective condoms available.
