Q: Horrible Pain On Left Side of Abdomen!

Lately, I have been getting this horrible pains on the left side of my abdomen. When I get them, I can't even breathe because it hurts so bad and it spreads to my lower back. I looked at myself in the mirror when this was going on and it knocked all the color out of my face and my lips were even blue. Does anyone know what this could be?

I think you should get this checked out by your doctor, it could just be painful ovulation but it sounds very similiar to what I experienced and that turned out to be an ovarian cyst which are extremely common and very painful. Hope you see your doctor and goodluck

I have the same type of pains and my doctor is having trouble diagnosing why these pains keep occuring. Just today I had x-rays and an ultrasound done to help decipher what is going on. I will keep you posted on the findings. Please let me know if you have any luck as well.

It seems like there are a lot of answers if this were occuring on the right side but because it's on the left side, everyone seems to be stumped!

I wonder if you might have a kidney stone? Is it on the left side of your abdomen towards the front (like it might be in your pelvis area) or your left side in general?
