Q: Can You Get Hiv/aids

From mixing your blood together for example my two friends said they anted to be bff and decided to cut there fingers and mix there blood together I told them considering they have different blood types and all they could get hiv and they said I was wrong am I right or am I wrong? Rolling Eyes

Hi there,

you are right. If one or the other was already carring the hiv virus they could pass it to the other. Any contact of bodily fluid on an open cut like that can pass the virus. It can also be passed through sex and sharing needles. Hope this helps.

Its right to say that it is very possible to get hiv like this but it is wrong to say that it is because they have different blood types. Just because they have diff. Blood types does not mean that if they mix this will give them hiv.

Hiv is spread through blood. What your friend wanted to do was foolish. If he wants to be boyfriends with someone, both should first get an hiv test & then practice safe sex. Blood types have nothing to do with whether or not you can catch hiv from someone.
