I had a miscarriage on april 5th and I hadn't got a period so I was like whats going on so I called the nurse and she said you should have already had one. So then I gave it time and my boobs started hurting so I decided to take a hpt and it came out positive i've taken 4 tests already and they all came out positive. Well I have a doctors appointment next week so ill know more then but im worried about a miscarriage happening again what do ya'll think!

Goodness! You aren't supposed to get pregnant for about 6 months after a miscarriage! One miscarriage increases your chance of another, but not enough to definitely say anything. I'd definitely be extra careful for both reasons: you had a prior miscarriage and you became pregnant again so quickly.

Good luck and happy pregnancy!

Omg that isn't true! Almost every doctor says you can start trying again after 2-3 regular periods. Also, just because you've had a miscarriage doesn't mean you can't go on to have a normal, healthy pregnancy.

Caracook is correct. That most certainly is not true!!!!!!!!!! You can still have a normal pregnancy if you had a mc. Good luck to you!

Who cares? Really most doctors say that one miscarriage doesn't mean much. After 2 or 3 it might be time to worry. You don't have to jump to everyone's defense whenever someone is corrected. Learn how to deal!

The reason I said that is because nine out of ten women don't have a period for 12 weeks (3 months) after a miscarriage. Then 2-3 periods later would be 5-6 months after the miscarriage.

I've had 3 miscarriages and I got my period the next month like I was supposed to every time. I'm pregnant again and i've made it to 9 weeks. I know that there is still a risk of miscarriage but this is the first i've carried this long.
