I'm So Worried ! Am I Pregnant Or Not ?? Please Advice Asap
Posted: 09-17-03 22:50pm

I'm 27 years old single mother.

I got my last period on the 1st of september. I had unpreotected sexual intercourse on the 13th of sept. He came out " withdraw" before ejaculation.

My period cycle usually takes from 28 - 30 days.

My question is:

today is 18th of sept and the intercourse was on the 13th of sept.

If I make a blood test now, will it show whether there's pregnancy or not????
I can't wait to know the result .I'm soooooo worried if I could be pregnant !!

What's the " minimum duration after intercourse " that a blood test could say whether there is pregnancy or not????

Can a blood test detect pregnancy after " 5 days " from the intercourse????

I can't wait till my next period, i'm under great tension and stress.

Help me please. Advice me as soon as possible.I need fast responses.

Waitng.................Your answers asap

You will have to wait until your late on your next period in order to have an accurate pregnancy test, and pulling out is certainly not a good method of birth control because pre ejaculation contains sperm.

And you don't know that pulling out does not mean you can't get pregnant?

Its too ealy to tell, you need to stop stressing because it wil delay your next period. Hopefully you arent but you need to wait to take a test. Please get on birth control to prevent it for the future, good luck, let us know the results!!!!

I had an unwanted pregnancy at 16 and had all the support in the world from my parents and friends, now she is 13 and I am over the moon, now married and 7 weeks pregnant with our new baby which we have tried very hard for. I made a mistake but the support got me through.

The person who posted this question is a 27 year old woman. Not a child who needs to be reminded about safe sex. Obviously she has learned about it by now..... She asked for advice, not a lecture!

I am certainly not bitter suzy. If I was I wouldn't be working with teens every single day and dedicating my time and life to them. Narrow minded? Hardly. And your right support is very important but so is safe sex. No one can be reminded enough about it, no matter how old you are. If your having unwanted pregnancies then you obviously weren't using the right method of birth control.
I too was pregnant at 16, and I made many mistakes in my lifetime, and pardon me if im being bitter I would just like to prevent some of these girls from going through the hell I did.
Im sorry to everyone.

I only asked her a question. I think it was ok to do that. I wasn't being a health forum. So lay off me, ok?

Well first off all I don't think that either tanya or frozenglue are bitter or health forum! If they tell these girls oh its ok that you are 13 and screwing around with a married 22 year old and got pregnant, its ok, everything with be a bed of roses, they wouldn't know anything about parenting when that child is born. They are simply putting it in a form that maybe the child should have heard from their parents. Obviously the parenting factor is failing at home when 13 year old children are pregnant and by grown men no less. I am not saying that a 13 year old is responsible for all of their actions because they are far from it. However when they become pregnant at that age they are responsible for everything of that child! Not everything in life is going to be pretty, or nice many things will be put out there for the world to see and these young girls need to see them! All of them!

Good luck and best wishes to all of you!
