Hi !

About 9-10 months ago, I had a pain on the right side of my face, location appeared to be at the joint of the jaw to the skull. It was a minor thing, and through medicines, I got rid of the pain.

Even since then, I feel something is wrong with my jaw :

1. I'm not able to chew food completely, therefore have stomach problems.

2. The lower jaw seems to be have gone back / retruded. So the teeth of the lower jaw can now go further inside of the upper jaw.

3. The right side of my jaw clicks when I open and close my mouth.

4. I can actually make my jaw to get slightly stuck by aligning it a particular position.

5. One dentist referred to this as a deep bite. Most dentist couldn't figure out what I was talking about. These are their responses :
* you will have to live with the new orientation
* it's not pathological, will go away soon.
* you need braces for the (1) gap in your teeth...He was just trying to mint money out of me.

There is no visible problem, but it's getting uncomfortable for me. I feel, now i'm able to reach more inside of my upper teeth when I bite.

Please give me a diagnosis, or tell me what could be wrong. And what might go wrong if I don't get this treated soon.

Really need this information.

Thank you very much.

Your Bite
You should see an oral surgeon who specializes in jaw problems.Did you injure yourself or can you pinpoint the trigger for your problem??I would definitely see a specialist right away.Your local dental society can refer you to one if you're not comfortable asking your current dentist.
Good luck!!!

About the Bite...
Thanks for your opinions.

I can pin point the problem to 9-10 months when I had a pain in my right side of my face, near the ear....Most probably at the joint of the jaw. It was a little thing.

I don't have any pain due to thing....Just uncomfortable. Will see an oral surgeon.
