Rectal Pressure
Hi!
I am a 48 y.O. With the same thing! I have had it for 4 months. Have had a procto (no hemorrhoids) barium enema (normal) and am scheduled for a colonoscopy after they found 3 miniscule polyps on the procto. The dr said there is no way the discomfort I have could be caused by this.

I have booked a gyn appt. To see if my female parts are falling down or something, and just found a site on coccydynia (coccyx.Org) that could be my problem...As I have had low back pain, and some l-5 s-1 issues in my back.

I feel your pain! Trust me!
Liz

Hey bootsie840, I know exactly what you are talking about! Extreme pain that lasts about 30 min. After going to the drs. A few times, he sent me to a gastro. He said he knew what I was talking about, and described my symts. Exactly. He called it proctalgia fugis. Sorry, but no way to get rid of it. He presribed meds. But its descrip. Of what it cures says nothing about rectal pain. I can't even find pf on any md web site.

Extremely eHealthy
A colonoscopy is a good idea, if you are taking pain meds that can be part of your problem, a lot of people use stool softeners to help with the bowels. Stress or nerves can cause this too.

Good luck to you!

Sincerely,
sandy
