Hi all happy holiday . My story is posted under alisonjoan if you want full details. Here is my question - is it an emergency when you have numbness in your back and leg? I am suffering a horrible undaignosed back problem. I have been to the er where they didn't check me almost at all. The release papers on backpain say go to emergency if you experience numbness and I do - like hittting your funny bone kind of pain. I had it when I went to the er to begin with - they checked my sensation but in a part of my leg that is not effected anyway. I wen tto orthopedist who ingnored this complaint. I have an appointment with another orthopedist tommorrow that I was supposed to cancell . Should I even bother ? If I go I have to call in that I will be late for work and this is a brand new job and I have already missed days due to this . I am afraid I will be fired - but if it is an emergency - well I need to know . I am about to h ave a mental breakdown from the discomfort as it stands

thank you
