If your really that desperate, get a laser removal done.It is a little costly but for all the money you have and wil spend to get iot removed, its worth it,and not too painful!

Hi there! Have you tried getting a second opinion from like a skin Dr. Or something in that area, I am not a dr but it does sound like a type of hormonal type imbalance or something in that area.
Good luck to you!

Help Is Out There
I agree w/sandyallen, you should try getting a second opinion. In the meantime, try using a combo of hair removal methods. I know it's time consuming, but you'll eventually notice a reduction in the thickness and time in between it takes for regrowth. Right now, I pluck, use a rotary tweezer and bleach. However, i've decided to take it to the next level by getting electrolysis & laser hair removal. I know that laser hair removal is not as effective as electrolysis, but when you've got as much hair as I do, lasers are a good alternative.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes...

While you are waiting to go see a doctor about the excess hair, have you tried waxing? Waxing you could do yourself and would last for weeks instead of days.

I saw a Dr. Today & he drew blood for hormone tests. I'm also having a pelvic sonogram to be on the safe side. I asked about pcos, and the Dr. Replied that most women who have it usually are overweight. I'm petite, but i've never had a normal period. In fact, i'm on the pill, but to be honest, I don't think it's helped the hirsutism. Either way, I still wanted to be sure, so the Dr. Ordered the hormone tests & the sonogram. The dr also recommended laser removal, but it's not necessarily permanent. If i'm paying thousands of dollars to get this done, I would like for it to be the most permanent method around.

Void & girlgirly - have you gotten any answers? Are you going to try laser removal or electrolysis?

Your Not the Only One...
Here I am, a white female, with dark brown hair, at the age of 18 and I have more hair on my stomach then what should be considered normal. Not just my stomach but I also have lower back hair, arm hair, "yes" some facial, etc...I hate it because it is embarassing. I made the mistake of trying to shave the hair on my tummy, you know, the happy trail and that seemed to make it worse because the hair came back in thicker. Plus what doesn't help is that my hair color is a dark brown. I haven't yet tried waxing it. I'm still curious on whether that may make my hair growth even worse. And how long does it take for the hair to grow back. Hopefully not as quick as shaving. I've looked into lazer hair removal. It does look costly and at my age I assume I should just wait. I hear the sun can lighten your body hair so that is my next attempt. What makes matters worse is that I try hiding it from my boyfriend. I tell him the reason I don't like messing around is that I just feel more comfortable when it is around night time. I'm alittle worried about when I plan on wearing a bikini this summer. Hopefully my hair on my body doesn't look as bad as it does now. Does anyone have any tips on what I could do? I need some advice!!

Hi there....Im 43 and ive always had body hair, it runs in my family on my mother side. It realy bothered me when I was young because of the teasing and name calling ((bigfoots wife ect....Loved that one...))..In any case when I was in my twenty's especialy after the birth of my first born, the hair was getting darker and longer , my arms and legs especially, but to me it was a normal phenominon. Ive never shaved my arms or facial hair...I would bleach them..But now it seems that when I use the bleach I get a terrible rash. Ive never waxed and only tweezed my eyebrow. Im afraid that if I wax that the hair will be darker and more hair would grow because of the fine unnoticable hair. The body hair doesnt bother me so much but the facial hair under my nose /chin and neck area keeps me from going anywhere, its embarrasing. Laser and electrolisis are to expensive for me. What type of hair removal is good and safe?

Thanks,
edna

Excessive Body Hair
Hi

I have found waxing to be the best for me.
I have tried bleaching and would NEVER recommend it to anyone, as it lightens the skin so when your hair grows back it is more visible.
I have black hair and brown skin but it is still quite visible, my chest hair although was previously barely noticeable and now I feel it is more prominent.
I would recommend waxing, however, when the growth starts it can be a little prickly and is not very appealing to look at, and does not last long. However, I have found waxing much better than shaving or bleaching.
Most places do waxing however, they may advertise that they do certain areas like the stomach and back and chest, it’s a matter of calling and finding.
Always use a senior waxier when getting waxing done, as it far less painful.

Good Luck 
