Hi, I will be 30 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I have a history of eating disorders, lately i've been having a tough time dealing with the weight i've gained and my new apperance. I can just feel myself building up the courage to purge or restrict and I know that I can't, I just need some help.

Thanks

Hun, whatever u do, stay strong for your baby. I hope u can keep staying strong now, and after the baby comes, for the babys sake. Im in the same situation, except im 32 weeks. Its such a hard thing, but we have to keep remembering our babys need us to be strong and healthy for them. Really, thats the only thing that keeps me motivated to try to put an end to it. I did really well and didnt purge for like 4-5 months (only 2-3 times) but then I had a bad 2 weeks recently and purged every 2 days or so. But now im trying to get back on track because I know my baby needs me to be healthy for him..And you probably know, once u start getting back in the habit, its so much harder to break........Goodluck hun I have faith that u can do it! We all deserve to be able to eat normal and feel good.

Thank you! I am trying soooo hard but sometimes I slip and don't realize until afterward and then I feel guilty. In the beginning I didn't know I was pregnant, so for the first 2 months about I was purging about 4 times a day and run a lot. So part of me is still terrified that my baby girl is going to be messed up or have a severe illness, and if she does it will tear me apart. I am trying to hope for the best, but as I am sure you know I can only think of the worst. I hope that you continue to do well for your baby!

Try not to worry too much about messing up the first 2 months. U didnt know, so it wasnt ur fault. I drank alot ( I mean shots daily of vodka and liquors) for the first 6 weeks, and purged because I didnt know I was pregnant. I told my doctor this and he wasnt worried. He said many people do things before they know and hes sure everything is fine, and theres nothin we can do now. So hopefully neither of us will have a problem! If we knew we were preg, we woulda been different, so dont get down on urself hun ur a good mommy* even trying and wanting to be better for your baby makes u a good mom already!
