Bloated Stomach After Eating Posted: 05-29-04 06:42am
Hi everyone fer a few years now i've been
bloating severely after eating or drinking
even the slightest amounts of what I
consume. I went to the doctor and they
gave me laxitives which made my bowl
movements regular but I still bloat just
as much as before. Im really scared
becasue ive gotten so bloated and tired of
it that ive sometime resulted to purging.
Please if anyone has a suggestin of what
I should do or what I may have will you
speak up. Again thank you

I have had the same problem and as I get
older the problem has gotten much much
worse. My stomach looks like I am weeks
overdue with a baby and the sounds are
loud and embarassing. I have to spend at
least an hour in the restroom dispelling
the gas which is unpleasent smelling. ( I
keep a little sealed hairspray bottle
filled with bleach in my purse which gets
rid of the smell).
I have found that eating mostly protein,
fresh fruit and vegetables is the best way
to avoid these symptoms although
overeating these foods will produce the
same embarrasing results.
A slice of meat will usually help with the
gas right away. I can no longer eat sugar
or processed foods. If the good lord did
not grow it, do not eat it. Even carbs
like rice and potoaotes will create
problems occassionally.
The only medication that seems to calm the
beast is pepto and that usually takes a
few applicaitons. None of the other rx or
over the counter drugs have ever helped.
If anyone has any other suggestions either
by way of remedies or helpful hints,
please, please write.
