Help Please Son Constantly Sick Posted: 05-28-04 23:16pm
My son is going to 10 this year. For the
past year now he is constanly sick. I
meen usually every day. He wakes up at
least 4 times a week with a headache or
sick to his stomach and vomits. He will
do this in the middle of the day to.
He is a very picky eater, his diet
consists of plenty of a veriety but alot
not healthy. His main ones are: pizza but
he has to have hot sauce with it or he
will not eat it. And the other is french
fries and those need to be fried and he
eats them with vinigar he will not eat
them any other way.
He loves salt "n" vinigar chips. He does
consume alot of vinegar.
My husband and I have tryed to get him to
eat meals with us and when we can talk him
into trying something it seems as though
he dont even give it a change once he puts
it in is mouth he runs to the bathroom to
vomit. He also vomits when he smells
curtain foods cooking that he dont like.
I have talked to the doctor about this but
he just seems to push it a side as if he
is ok.
But if the doc is right I am going insane.
We cant even take him any were in fear
that he will get sick.
We are un compertable taking to amusement
parks or any other adventure a child would
enjoy. We cant even go out to eat with
him in fear of him vomiting over the
food.
I hope someone can help me. I dont know
how much of this I can take.
It is very fustrating and it is altering
ours and my childs life.
I am un sure if this has to due with his
diet but I want to believe it does.
He does eat other stuff that is not so
bad: grilled cheese, banana,
pair,strawberrys,shredded wheat
cereal,cornflakes,
the only meat he will eat is chicken. Or
peperoni
but he does like I said consume alot of
vinegar. I am really worried about that.
Is it ok to consume so much vinegar?
Please help I am totally fusterated

I am worried about your son. I don't
really know what to say but get a second
opinion asap from another doctor. I'm
sorry I don't have any better advice for
you, I wish I did. All I can say is keep
your cool, and hound the doctors until you
find out what's wrong. Every day if you
have to. This is nothing to mess around
with. (of course you know that.)
i hope everything works out. Good luck!

Do you keep a diary of when he is ill?
Is there any pattern ie only on school
days or when he has a certain subject at
school? Have you talked to him regarding
problems with friends or other youngsters.
It may be worth talking to his teachers
also the school doctor may be able to
help.
