When I first went to the doctor, she gave me all these trials of different prenatal vitamins and said to take them and when I ran out, to go buy prenatal vitamins over the counter. She warned me I might get sick, but of course I have always taken regular vitamins and they never made me sick, so I said "oh no, they won't make _me_ sick!!" she said to take two flintstones vitamins a day if they did.

Well, needless to say I am on flintstones vitamins now and i'm even taking one in the morning and one at night and they make me sooo sick! Did any one else experience this? Does it go away? How can I help this?

I heard that when you first start your prenatals that since they are so strong so you and baby are gettin what you need, well your body isnt used to all them extra vitamins, but it will get better. How long have you been on them? It shouldnt be bad after a couple weeks, your body just needs to get used to all the extra. I was never givin any prenatals but at my first visit the nurse asked if I was takin vitamins, I told her I was takin a one a day, a calcuim plus vitamin d, and folic acid, and she just said "oh good", so I think thats why they never gave me any...

I've been on regular vitamins for years. I've been on prenatals for about a month, and I just switched to flintstones last week.

What prenatals are you on? Before the flinstones I mean. Im on citrocal and they smell so sweet lol. And my nurse said if I feel sick to take them in the evening or night. I take them whenever though because I foget and I havent got sick. Well I have but that was my flu, lol. And morning sickness but ive been better yesterday! The day before I puked but iv gone 1 day without feeling sick so far! Maybe its the kind your taking. There is also another kinds called strong start, and they are chewables. My sister took them and got samples all the time from her doc to make them last and she never got sick on those either.

I am on precare prenatal vitamins and they're chewable. They are so so so disgusting. There is a lot of iron in them and it tastes like blood. They're horrible! I love flinstones. Is that really as good as taking a prenatal?

Yep! If you look on the bottle, two flintstones has almost all the same stuff as a prenatal.
