You are going to hate the replies you get from your post. There is no way to tell which birth control pill she should go on. You have to go see a doctor for a reason, and this is because they conduct some test and then they decide what is best for you, because all people are different and a pill that might work for one person might not work for another. Secondly, all pills have side effects.... That's just the truth. Once again it depends on the person, some people get horrible side effects from one pill while another may not. Most people have to try a few different brands or methods before coming accross one that actually works for them. I myself just got prescribed for yasmin, which is a fairly new pill, which is suppose to be great, it better be for how expensive it is!!! Mad but I have read on this website some people who have had many problems with yasmin.... Then again I know someone who loves being on yasmin, she lost weight and everything... But as you can see it just depends on the person, and you really should see a doctor, I don't know how it is over there but here you can go to a family clinic, and it's 100% confidential. Good luck!!!

You are going to have to try a few to find the one you like. Your doctor will prescribe the one that best fits you. All have some type of side effects and different people emit different side effects. I was on ortho tri-cycylen for a year and eventually got off because of the side effects. It is one of the most popular oral contraceptives on the market and some people love it. I then was on yasmin for another year. I loved everything except for the progestin in it which made me irritable. Again it may make me irritable, but not you. That is why your doctor knows best. Good luck.

A pill that works well for one person may be horrible for another. She is going to have to get an exam including a pap smear, std screening and such, and then they will recommend a pill for her. The first one they put her on may or may not have side effects for her, but the doctor's will go from there. There is a book that all gyno doctors should have that lists all of the different brands of pills, there side effects and which pill to switch to if you are having certain side effects.
The doctor will give her what is best for her. Hopefully she will find one that doesn't give her any adverse side effects. The pill I was on for the first seven years worked wonders for me, but then my body got used to it and I had to switch. I have switched eight times since then and just finally found one that I can live with.
