Q: Could I Be Pregnant?

I have been on the pill for about 6 years now, and have just stopped taking it for 5 days now (last time I took it was 9/11). I had intercourse on the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th without any contraceptive. I have been throwing up for 3 days straight now, mostly after eating. Do you think I could be pregnant or is it just symptoms from coming off the pill? Is a few days too soon to be showing any symptoms of pregnancy? I forgot to mention, that it seems like I got my period (not as heavy as usual) a couple days after I stopped taking the pill as well? Maybe my body thinks that this is the week i'm supposed to have my period, since I stopped taking the pill (i just finished my last period a week ago).

Its too early to tell, but mabe you should go back on the pill to help regulate things. It controls your hormones and keeps your periods regular. I dont think it stops working right away, so next time your period is due, and its late take a test. A few days is way to early to know and to have symptoms. Maybe 4-5 weeks later you would. Take a test later.

If I resume my pills again, is there a chance that my period would be late?

It shouldnt effect the time your period is supposed to come but it might. It usually regulates your period but because you went off, then your going back on it might react differently. Stress is a big factor in delaying your period so you might want to not stress about the chance of being pregnant. Good luck!

I was on the pill for about 2 years and I ubruptly stopped taking the pill aslo. This was about a year ago. I was having unnprotected sex with my boyfriend coming in me every night. I thought I was pregnant because I wasnt getting my period for 3 months staight. I was having the symptoms except for the swollen breasts. Come to find out I am just very fertile and sincec I had stopped taking the pill my body thought I was pregnant and didnt drop an egg for 38 weeks. On the 39th week, I got my period. I hope this helps you!! Laughing

Since you just stop taking the pill there is no way you could be pregnant. It takes up to 3 months or more before your is rid of the hormones. The problems you are having is just fro stopping the pill.
