Q: Vomiting Feces??
asked by: tupergirl on May 23rd, 2004

I have been constipated for the past 3 weeks. Last week I took 2 ex-lax pills and it didn't do anything! This week (wednesday) I woke up vomiting what looked and smelled like feces. I have something comming out of my anus which I thought was a hemmorrhoid, however, it doesn't itch. I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, is keeping me from having bowel movements. I have also been experiencing aweful acid reflux for the past 2 months. I don't know what's going on and I don't know if I need to go to the doctor. Please help!!

I would definately seek medical help, if your throwing up fecies that cant be a good sign, as far as being constipated try adding more fiber to your diet, you can have hemorhoids and not even know sometimes I have them and dont have any pain or itching the only way to be 100 % sure of what is going on with you would be to see a doctor, I wouldnt let it go to much longer try not to take a lot of laxatives they cause more harm than good,

Same Symptoms
I experienced similar symptoms. I vomited coffee grind like stuff. I have been having major constipation problems for months. My dr said I had acid reflux and put me on prilosec.I had a flex-sid(camera in rectum to view lower colon area), I have had an upper gi, ultrasound, gallbladder exrays..They can not find anything. I am scheduled for a barium enema on 12/22-some of my other symptoms are excessive gas, bloating, always feeling full, constipation. I can only go with the help of a laxative..
