I had a complete hysterectomy in november 2003 i'm 37 years of age I still have the bloating and lower back aches and leg pain when it's around the time of when I had my menstrual cycle. Is this normal or will I get over this feeling. How do you lose the belly after having surgery.

Hello kim,

i had a partial done last july.Due to large tumors etc.. I do not get those feelings. But, I also have a back condition with leg problems. Have you ever checked your back? It almost sounds like possible herniated disks and or nerves pinch.
I hope you find the cause of your discomfort.
God bless
rachel

Hi Lori: This could be from the cervix as some doctors leave this in....Once in a while it will cause problems...Have it checked out and see what they say...My friend also had this problem....

Take care,
Caroline

I have heard of women that will show abnormal signs even after having this done...From what I can remember, this is possibly because of a remnant of Endometriosis, that might have been left inside...Possibly it has invaded the matter inside you where they sewed up the cervix...I am sorry, but I an not a nurse and am not sure how they did this, even though mine was done too...

Don't worry until you have been to the doctor...Then I still wouldn't worry.....There are so many wonderful and minor touch-up's that they do for us women...It's a good life... sunny

I send you all my best wishes..

Caroline
