Q: Muscular Pain

My wife suffers with hypertension and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, currently under treament. Some 15 months ago, prior to finding out about her heart she complained of muscular aches and pains together with a marked salty tast in her mouth. When she gets this salty taste her muscle problems are more pronounced. I cannot get anyone to take this condition seriuosly but to my lay mind the heart being a muscular organ might be affected in the same way as her skeletal muscles. I would like to think that the basis of her problem is metabolic. Could anyone advise us on this problem.
