Is it normal?? My mother had her thyroid removed in february and since then her voice has been horse...We thought at first that since the thyroid is so close to the voice box it was sore after surgery and would get better, but it has not.........Should this be checked out further, does anyone out there relate to this......Waiting for answers

Unless they damaged the voice box during surgery then no it should not be hoarse. A friend of mine got her thyroid removed and her voice is perfectly fine. I would go get it checked out.
