Over the course of the last 5 years I have both knees replaced, with the right knee replaced twice. My left knee is doing fine, but the left is a different story. Before the right knee was replaced I had 2 " scopes " to try to get rid of the problem. I have degenerative arrthritis. Approx. One week after the first on my right leg, I had a fall, and the efforts to save the replacements were to no avail. It was replaced again one year later. Six months after the second replacement, I had to have scar tissue removed. Seven months later it had to be done again, but this time there was problems! One day after the second " cleanout " I developed a infection that put me on my butt for a couple weeks. The infection is supponisouly gone, but I am just now starting to walk with just a cane. I had to use a walker since july 19th. I have also had a good deal of muscle deteriation in the right leg due to non use. I am doiny my therapy every day and just now starting to come around. The aftermath of the infection put me in more pain than the replacements. I was wondering in anyone else was, or is in this same situation. I would appreciate any comments, help, or ideas.

Sincerely;

j. R. Daniels

Partial Knee Replacement Complications
I had a partial knee done in september...Got infection just a few days after. My surgeon had to go back in and clean infection out a week later. I have had to be put to sleep to pop scar tissues a month ago....Haven't gotten to full range of motion yet...105 and -10 . I am still in pain when I walk. Everyone tells me to walk walk walk....It is so hard. I am still on antibotics ...(8weeks of iv..I gave myself...And a month of pill form). I have to have my other knee done...Having second thoughts about it.

I have more pain now than I did before I had surgery!!!
