For the past couple months or so, my penis has been in bad condition, real bad at times. It's red and dry, flakey dry. There are some little cuts around it, and it can get very itchy at times. It's been very irritating for too long, I gotta take care of it...Not going to a doctor of course though Embarassed :p. Well, I might have to if I can figure out how to solve it myself. Every time I let it fully heal (takes about 2 weeks usually, 2...Long weeks), then end up masturbating once again, it just goes back to how it was before, and i'm not masturbating any harder than I used to. So I don't know why it's happening, I can't seem to find any name for a condition like it. It's been really annoying for all this time though, i've been medicating it as much as I can, with aloe vera mostly, along with some other creams, which I selected pretty carefully.

It also seems like it gets worse sometimes even when I don't masturbate, I see new wounds opening around it, at least I think they are new. Them i'm like "how did that happen?". So in the past 2 months or so i've only masturbated 4 or 5 times, which is a big change from the usual 3 or 4 times a week. When I used to masturbate 3 or 4 times a week, my penis would be in fine condition, so I don't know what the problem is. Can anyone help me? Confused

I'm no expert, and don't have any experience exactly, but it sounds like it could be a sort of fungal infection, i.E. Like athlete's foot. It probably doesnt have anyting to do with masturbating, unless you are passing on the condition from your hands? You probably should see a doctor, or if you are embarrassed they might be able to help you at a std clinic. But don't be embarrassed, that is what doctors are there for, and they have seen a lot worse!

Thanks for the reply.

This is the same guy, new username though.

It's been 3 weeks and my penis isn't fully healing, it's not dry anymore, but it's still red and often very itchy, it bleeds out of some of the little cuts that are still around. I can't understand why it would still be in bad condition, it's driving me bonkers though. I've been using goldbond medicated itch stopping cream, which soothes the itch pretty well, after kinda the first burning sensation that is Confused, that's usually when it starts to bleed, when it itches real bad. I've looked all around the net for any kind of similar symptoms and thought maybe there's some kind of name for the problem i'm having. Haven't had any luck thought. Any other ideas on what to do? Sad. I've been thinking about trying antibiotic medication. Not sure if it's a good idea or not though. I'm probably not going to see a doctor unless it gets worse.

Think it would be alright to try some antibiotics, or would they even do anything?

Please go to a doctor. It is their job to help you and you shouldn't be embarassed. I am sure they have dealt with worse. I am a nurse and it doesn't even phase me to see and hear some of the most interesting things. It does sound like some type of fungal infection. If you go to the doctor, they can treat you with antibiotics. Please for your sake so you don't have to deal with it anymore. Good luck.

If you are too embarrased to go to the doctor, try rubbing some honey over it and see if it does anything. Honey is a pretty good anti-fungal and might help you out.

Its best you see a doctor. The way you are describing the problem, I think you need sound medical advice, not guesses.

I have the same thing man. Since about last friday i've had a little red area right at the base of my penis where it's been somewhat dry and flakey. It constantly itches and burns. I'm trying to find some sort of cream to put on it but to no avail so far.
