Wagners Disease
I just went to my best freinds funeral yesterday. She had wagners disease. There is little known about it and even less that than can do about it. From what the doctors told us, it is a combination of lupus and diabetes. One of her grandmothers had lupus the other had diabetes. When she was born she had both. It was only diagnosised 4 years ago. She was 26 when she died. Growing up together, she always has sores on her arms and legs, (not that many), it just looked like a bug bit her and she picked it. Her doctors told her then she had a nervous system problem. Come to find out, all along it was wagners. She had a baby when she was 19, then at 22, she wa again pregnant and she got very sick. The doctors were just trying to save her life. Her baby was born at 24 weeks. The doctors then said she had a very rare disease called wagners. They had been giving her some treatments that are similar to chemo and radiation. She had stopped taking them because it was not working. Last friday, she started to feel really bad. The doctor admitted her and did 3 treatments. She then went home. Sunday she was back at the hospital. Monday she was in great danger of dying. Tuesday the had to drill holes in her head, because of the fluild that was building up. Tuesday night, at 9:30 she had a massive stroke. At the very moment the stroke started the power sent out at the hospital. I believe that the angels were rejoicing because another was about to join them. She was then declared brain dead. They keep her alive by machines because she was an organ donor. At 10:58 wednesday morning, the plug was pulled and she died 2 minutes later. She never took a breath on her on. She left a 7 year old and 4 year old, along with her husband of 8 years. The possibilty of this wagners happenning to someone else is very real, because if you have either diabetes or lupus, check your family history for the other. My best friend of 18 years is gone, but she is always in my heart. By the way, she wanted to donate all her organs, but every organ in her body was to damaged, except for her eyes. This disease took almost every organ she had. I love you, christine, I hope through my message someone can be saved.
