Q: Question And Updates!

Everything has been kind of slow around here lately, or maybe its the same but I am just running out of things to do and finding myself running to the computer to see if anyone posts any replies! Lol anyways, I am just doing a weekly update!!
I also want to say god bless and good luck to carla! Her baby was taken prematurely from her womb and turned into an angel! I give her and justin all of my support and love!

As for moi, I am fantastic! I have a new food facination now! I am now craving spaghetti with loads of parmasean cheese like all the time!! It is all austin's fault, he wanted to do something nice for me saturday night, so he and my mom took me shopping to get another outfit and they took me to fazoli's, which is an italian resturaunt and now all I want is spaghetti! Mmmm lol!
Austin has also decided to take a weeks-paid vacation off of work when cheyenne comes so that I don't feel over-welmed while getting used to her and my hormone level decrease! He has actually been listening at my birthing classes! Smile I love him so much, he is such a great guy!!

Guys I do have one question,
we were invited to a baby shower for austin's cousin, the date is set for october 24th. She lives in california, about a six hour drive from where we live, do you think that if cheyenne is born ontime that I would be able to handle the drive?
(she is due on the 15th and she is my first, if that helps!)

thanks :p
good luck and best wishes

I think it will all depend on how you feel darling. You may be exhausted and need some time to relax and be with the baby. It's all up to you though. If you feel up to it then go, but otherwise I would just have some time alone with the baby. Also a newborn baby in a carseat for 6 hours could be a very noisy ride!! I'm so happy for you and I hope your delivery goes well, and I can see you are going to be a wonderful mother.
Much love

Ok! Smile thanks for the advice! I didn't think that she would be fussy, I figured that she would sleep most of the time, but now that I think about it, I wouldn't want to go from a comfy waterbed to a cotton surrounded carseat for 6 hours either! I guess I will have to see if I am up to it. The problem I am facing is that austin is kinda close to his cousin and I know how he is, if me and the baby don't go, he won't and I don't want him to miss out on this, I mean its only going to be a day or two and I still have my mom,her boyfriend, austin's parents, his brother and sister, so its not like I will be alone because I won't. I would understand his point of view though, I mean I couldn't leave cheyenne and austin alone only a week or two after she was born! I would cry every minute!! Crying or Very sad

eh who knows, we may be up for it, we may not be! Who knows we both may be too exhausted to travel! But at any rate thanks for the reply and kind words!

Good luck and best wishes

Hi jessika - I would recommend talking to your doctor about whether or not that long of a drive is a good idea. I wouldn't recommend it though. You can expect to continue to have contraction-like cramps for the better part of a week or two after the baby is born, plus you will have some healing around the birth area (either skin tears or an episiotomy) as well as several hemorrhoids from the pushing. I know I wouldn't want even a 1 hour car ride 10 days after delivery, let alone 6! There's a good reason why the doctors recommend waiting several weeks to return to work. The more physical exertion you put yourself through, the heavier you will blead and the longer it will take to get back to "normal" ... Whatever that means!! Lol

please feel free to write more ... I am 32 and having my 4th child in may. Good luck! Cool

Wow! I didn't even consider half of the things that you pointed out to me! Thanks alot! I am planning on not going but sending her a card/gift, etc. Since we are having cheyenne's baby shower after she is born, austin wants to invite her so that she can meet the baby and what not. But at any rate, I really appreciate your reply and the information!

Good luck and best wishes
