Hello.
I am seeking advice/suggestions from anyone that can help. My wife is 38 and suffered a heart attack two weeks ago. She is skinny as a rail (5'6", 120 lbs.), has no medical history, never smoked, has no family history, is athletic, etc. The doctors say she had a clot that broke off and completely blocked a major artery which caused damage to a part of the heart.
Needless to say, she's very scared. We have three children (8 years, 4-1/2 years, and 5 months). She has been reading some scary mortality statistics and keeps thinking she'll die soon.
The really frustrating part is that we can't find anyone out there with seemingly no risk factors who has also had a heart attack at such a young age and can give her some security about her chances of living a long, normal life.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
