Tinea Versicolor
Tinea versicolor is an infection with yeast growing out of the infection, if you have it you should get a dr's appointment, the bed sheats and pajamas should be washed daily to avoid getting reinfected. It is a good idea to look it up on the computer, it is a little complicated to explain.
Sincerely.
Sandy

For Tinea with blistering and inflammation
For tinea with blisters that spreads. First treat inflammation with ibuprophen, then use a drawing salve on blisters to help dry them. Rinse with cold water and soap and dry thouroughly. Then follow up with anti-fungals. I have finally been seeing results with thus method. My suspicion is that the fungus can hide beneath blistering and use inflammation to continue to spread despite topical treatment. That is why I suggest treating inflammation, drawing blisters and then treating with anti-fungal. I hope this helps every single person struggling with persisting tinea. Let me know if this worked or helped you. : )

I had this for 10+ years and I finally was cured. I had tried EVERYTHING and never saw ANY progress. Finally I read something about keeping the skin dry. I always used the fungus creams, or after using the shampoos, I would use lotion to keep my skin moist because it would get really dry. I had tinea completely covering my torso(front and back) and creeping up my neck. Started using a "saprox" mud from amazon. would apply the mud for about an hour and then rinse off.

continued...after a couple weeks doing the mud, I had a doctor prescribe ketoconazole cream. Immediately, the tinea looked like it was back. This was because creams and lotions keep it moist...IT NEEDS TO BE DRIED OUT!! I had the doctor prescribe a ketoconazole SHAMPOO and I stopped using the mud all together. After 2 weeks with the SHAMPOO(leave on for 20-60min) I could see the tinea peeling off. 3 weeks and I am COMPLETELY CLEAR!! I hope this helps someone!

Ive had tinea versicolor for years. The best product is Selsun (NOT selsun blue, just selsun) I buy mine at walmart. You use it once a day for 7 days and then its gone. I only get it in the hot summer months when its humid. It disappears after the 7 days with Selsun and I dont have to worry about it until the following year. Hope this helps Smile
