I ask this because when my husband has bad sz's, I (naturally) try to move things out of harms way. If he gets close to a big piece of furniture I stick pillows in front of it so he can't ram into them. I wonder how other people handle that. Do you just safe guard it when it happens, like I do? Or do you permenantly have them just moved out of the way, against the edge of the wall or something?

Also, we just bought a new bed and it's very high off the ground. He has had sz's in the old bed we had which was alot lower to the ground so falling off wasn't a big issue. And also it was against the wall so whenever anything happened, the wall would stop him. But now, we have a high bed, and have changed the bedroom around so the bed is not againt the wall anymore (needed a change of senery). I'm wondering has anyone ever seriously injured themselves from falling off the bed during a seizure? He'd had some close calls, but he can usually tell they're coming and he'll go out into the living room, where it would be more safe if he did have one.
Any input you have to add to this would be great!
Thank you.
