Have her eat white rice (cooked, of course) without butter or salt or anything. Just white rice.
You should also try Pepto Bismal or Imodium.

to be honest there isnt realy much. try giving her food like toast or a sandwitch i know its wierd but becasue its bread in the stomach it will take in all the exess water and everything and shouldnt be as bad!.

even then you can only have diareha for as much as youve eaten. its like being sick! after a while there wont be nothing to bring out

Does she have a fever? That would be indicative of flu. However, the best thing to do in cases of 'the runs' is to give pleny of liquid (juice, water, etc) to keep her hydrated. She can eat whatever she would normally eat - as long as she can stomach it.

I hope she feels better soon!!!

Nat, they are talking about the BRAT diet. It used to be all the rage for kids with the hershey squirts. Now doctors say give them whatever they will eat, there isn't any reason not to give them milk (if they want it) or anything else.

I guess because rice, bananas, applesauce and toast are all bland?

Funny you mention that ingi...cause when Christian was ill and had the runs the nurse at the daycare didn't allow milk for the day....

And those things are given to solidfy your stool and keep your stomach Smile....

I also recommend the BRAT diet - Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast.

I used that diet when I had morning sickness, it actually helped Smile
