I am a 20 yearold male, 160 lbs, pretty decent health (run a two mile stretch about once a week and workout).
Over the last year I have been experiencing inner-cranial pressure on the top of my head. It feels like pressure coming from the inside pushing out and is in the frontal/upper-parietal section. I assumed that these were migraines possibly stress related (they occur during times of increased stress). Pushing down on the top of my head relieves the pressure. As soon as you stop pushing down the pressure comes back. It is not constant but occurs multiple times daily for long periods of time. In the last six months the pressure and frequency have defiantly increased.
In the last four months I went from perfect vision to not being able to read the television programming less than six feet away. First my farsighted vision became blurred (couldn't read street signs from afar), then - and quite rapidly - I can barely read the license plate of a car directly in front of me or street signs I pass. There seems to be a lot of pressure on the back of my eyes and in the area of my inner-forehead. This pressure has also increased and become more frequent. The top of the head pressure and the back of the eyes pressure do not connect (the area inbetween does not hurt).
Several times in the last two weeks I have smelled a very strong odor of smoke or blood. The weird thing is I am used to the smell of smoke and can not even really smell the smoke even when I'm smoking. The very strong odor only last for a quick moment. Smells almost like blood.
I have also become abnormally irritable especially in times when I am getting these pressure-related pains. I figure that the pain is causing me to be in a bad mood (just like having a headache can make you irritable).
Smoking marijuana temporary relieves all of the pressure pains but does not correct the blurred vision.
EDIT: Not sure if this relates but about 10 years ago I was hit in the head with a hockey stick on accident. 7 stitches in the forehead, possibly hit my head on the way down. Don't recall if I had a concussion but I do remember the incident.
ALSO: Not sure if this relates but I have a horrible memory. I can't remember movies very well and can vaguely remember things that happened more than about a couple of months. I don't remember any of my elementary/middle school, and don't really remember much from high school. It's all very vague and very foggy. Movies titles, etc. I know it's normal not to have a perfect memory but I know that mine is abnormal. This could also be a result of just being dumb but I'm pretty book smart and usually get good grades.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
-Steven
