hey, thank you so much to anyone reading this. lately i feel like something is really wrong with me other than just being overwhelmed. im 17 and committed to many acivities and resposibilities and often stress over getting everything done. i know every teen deals with stress but for the past two months i have been increasingly lightheaded and fatigued, i often feel like i cant finish an activity. also about two months ago a went through a couple weeks of probably borderline anorexia, where i wouldnt eat for a few days. i am fine now and eating more normally but was wondering if that has mayb contributed to these feelings? i dance and a wave of fatigue will hit or i wont be able to focus my eyes quite right for a minute. also ive been having moments of intense anxious feelings, get hot, and my heart pounds in my chest, ears, or upper stomache and at night sometimes if it happens i can feel the blood pulsing into my neck and arms. i am borderline anemic but this is pretty common for many girls. i am just wondering if anyone has any thoughts, its a little scary when it happens and i just want to know if it is all in my head. thank you so much to anyone who responds.

to me it sounds like your life is full of stress and out of that stress will come aniety of that up coming stress. that is all life is anymore is a daily shot of stress. Maybe seeing a counsler would help. at least then you would be headed in the right direction. Yoga is a very good way to eleminate some of that stress.

Best to you

How is your physical health? Do you eat well? Do you get enough rest? If you work on good nutrition and rest, that might help some of your problems.

BUT you definitely sound very stressed, and that could definitely cause what you are describing. Working in some relaxation into your day (yoga is great, or even just 10 minutes of meditation/relaxation every day would help) and making sure you aren't OVERTAXING yourself- you can only do so much.

Good luck!

If you can, talk to a doctor. Just make sure it is stress, and a passing phase. It is always nice to hear if you are normal, and it will pass. If there is anything wrong, you can get it early.
I get sick for no reason myself. I don't threw up or anything like that, but I feel so ill that I hide in my bed for a while. But you should really see a doctor if you can.
I have not seen one since I was about your age...and it is biting me in the butt...
you should take time and relax. Baths help:)

thank you so much for responding. do get probably enough sleep and have been eating better. i still sometimes binge or dont eat enough, depending on my body image of the day but i am doing better. this month has just been depressing and i think im finally letting it get to me. my best friends mom died on valentines day after only being diagnosed a week before with brain cancer, then a classmate of mine was found last night after committing suicide, i have been at odds with a couple of my friends and am just tired. im so tired. i just want to know if i am making it all up or if looking into my health would b a waste as there is nothing medically wrong.
thank you so much.

Well it does sound (from what you described in your original post) that you aren't getting enough nutrition-

Eating is like putting gas in your car. If you don't eat enough, you will get irritable, dizzy, weak, depressed, all those things. Especially if you're dancing or doing other physical activity.

So if you're a teen, you should be getting at least 1500 (1200 if you're over 1Cool calories per day. And if you're doing any physical activity, you need more than that. If you're not, that's where you need to start.

But I don't really know, I'm just going off what you wrote in your original post. Those things could be caused by stress as well, and it sounds like you've got plenty of that.
